About
My 作畵 of painting is a combination of curved beauty and 曲線 beauty.
Lin 隣, the basis of which, has its meaning in the pursuit of modernism in ink. Therefore, Lin 隣's purpose is to create a Korean character that attempts a new formative work that combines community spirit and Korean curved aesthetic 曲線. In addition, Lin 隣 is a fusion and 圓融, so it means all of them, all of them are one, and it can be said to be the basis of community culture.
Since ancient 以來, our people have been assimilated into a curved culture because it is softer, more flexible, and more generous than the Western straight culture that pursues hard, uniform, and perfection. For example, in the vague, clunky, and curvy curves, there is a cozy feeling and a soft, elegant, and crude, unfinished beauty, which has been considered the representation of Korean beauty, and it has been the basis of my paintings, and Lin 隣 is no different.
Curved aesthetics, which was the theme of my painting, met the grand festival of Geumgangsan 剛san Mountain in 2005 and faced a major transformation period. After visiting Geumgangsan Mountain that year, I was immersed in it for three years and incorporated it into Geumgangsan Mountain work using the curved 曲線畫 method, which is my formative language, to realize a new shape of the mountain, thus opening a new Lee Jeong-ri 程 in my paintings. I dare to say that the aesthetic of the curve was able to take one step closer to the 目 of the 眞 of the Geumgang River's Jinmyeonmok, and created a new cloud pen of the mountain. The Joseon Ilbo Museum of Art at the time was founded on Beopgo Changsin 創, and natural dyes such as ink, stone foundation, soil, and ceramic pigments were used to express the color and texture of our own
It attracted attention as an invitation exhibition to the Milal Art Museum.
Everyone knows that "nature has no straight line, it is a curve," but it took a long time to recognize and accept it. Mother nature can be said to be a harmony of curved beauty, and naturalness is also a basic requirement for the 作畵 of painting. "Praise of Curve" are works created by exploring and reinterpreting landscapes and shapes obtained by many sketches through play 遊戱 and contemplative 觀照 in a way that has been pursued since the creation of Geumgangsan Mountain. It is not limited to one theme or any type of method or sub-class, but it can be seen as an attempt to approach freedom and naturalness. In other words, it is a work that has been solved in various ways in my formative language, which has pursued the beauty of nature through curves for a long time.
