About
I was curious about the meaning of living since I was young. Why you have to live and why you shouldn't die. What is life and what it means to live with people. I always had doubts about life, even though I didn't live a grim life or live superior to others. I wanted to talk about life and emotions, so I wanted to find my curiosity through pictures.
Life is a series of scenes that have led to numerous emotions and relationships, and at the same time, there is a beginning and an end. Time in it means that the direction of somewhere is set, regardless of whether the result is good or bad. I wanted to record the feelings we felt in the disappearing time and the meaning and essence of living together.
In art history, there have been artists who have studied dots, lines, planes, and basic figures. And I think that philosophy and values have a lot of influence to this day, and the unchanging truths are also hidden. Everything can be represented as a basic figure if simplified. Among the numerous visual elements, I thought the 'basic (point, line, plane, or geometric figures)' elements were a way to replace what I was trying to say. Each figure, such as a circle, a triangle, a square, etc., can show their own feelings just by their shape, and depending on what color it is, it has a different meaning and feeling. In other words, it was believed that basic forms could capture many things abstract and image things rather than actual things.
There were times when I naturally observed "patterns" after living with pattern designers for a long time. I found geometric elements in the fiber 'pattern' that I had looked at closely, and it was more than the fiber itself I knew. The more I looked at it, the more attractive elements, the more meaningful it was, and the lives we live. The meaning of our lives was hidden in what was only considered necessary in life.
They gradually reinterpreted, dismantled, and began to combine patterns. Symbolic colors were added, numbers, discipline, and messages were expressed in various ways. The world seems to be constantly changing and irregular, but in repeated rules, they do their best to fit their roles and create harmony in the world. We began to record the form of the pattern as the 'harmony of life' in which we live.
It puts great significance on the shipper elements in recording. A line is a record of a point's movement, and means that the movement is visualized. Line means timeliness. We perceive the world through the element of line, and everything around us is made up of line, and it contains time. Find the harmony of the world in the pattern of each of these lines (life).
For me, pattern is a record and form of abstract concepts. It is not intended to answer or decide on someone's life through work. It is to present the meaning of life so that I can find it, and I also record about finding its meaning and essence. There is no unimportant line in the pattern. Likewise, in a wide and wide world, our lives may be a small part that is invisible, and each may seem completely unnecessary as a different guest house, but they combine with each other to create the world in harmony. I want to capture such a meaningful life.
