I'm Kim Gari, a writer who craves and studies what "I"-like work is.

I'm mainly drawing people and spaces.
I'm currently coaching fashion illustrations, and I'm working on my own, but until just two years ago I had a job in interior styling.
As a result, I had no choice but to access the human body, clothes, fabric and texture, and furniture and space.

I usually use canvas or paper. Think of it as a space, put a piece of furniture that builds a wall, draw a person, and naturally add texture to space and furniture, draw a human body, and draw a facial expression. If you add texture to the space and the furniture, the flat area looks three-dimensional, and I'm looking at the painting and the space in the painting becomes one. In that space, I try to express my memories, situations, or gaze.

And in my current work, a woman becomes the main character and becomes the center of a screen. She's all intense, free-spirited, but sometimes provocative, she looks at the viewer.
Through the woman in the work, I show my hopes, expectations, and expressions of my emotions for the near future world that I couldn't meet in reality.

I like words like human body, face, love, wind, flower, chair, butterfly, space, universe, star, earth, sky, day and night, but now I'm really inspired by things and situations that I meet in every day of life.
I don't limit myself to one topic, but I look at various elements, and I work with the parts that I like.

I work with my own feeling because I get immersed in colors and emotions while walking down the street. You fill in that color and that emotion with one margin of the canvas.

Sometimes when I see a vase in any space, I get inspired and draw pictures like a diary in my work.
When the vase looks like the universe, we add it right away.

I usually do design work, painting instruction, or outsourced work from a company, so I did a lot of work for others.
I really didn't think about being "me." It was entirely for others.
Therefore, I want to focus entirely on 'I = Kim Ga-ri' and make them remember as 'Kim Ga-ri's paintings' through my works.

And I think it's very important to make myself known, but I think it's actually more important to make a work that I'm satisfied with.
I want to work on a more "Kim Gari" style.
