AB Gallery
traces of exchange
About
AB Gallery will hold an exhibition of "Traces of Exchange" at the Gungpyeong Art Museum Archive in Gungpyeong Port, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, for 14 days from March 28 to April 10, 2022. Since its launch in 2002, we will show the works of 12 foreign artists among the traces of exchanges that have focused on the world stage rather than the domestic stage. AB Gallery has been active mainly in the European and Middle Eastern art markets through participation in art fairs and special exhibitions.
In June 2002, AB Gallery started its business in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, and in Bastille, Paris, France, as a gallery under the Korea-French Cultural Exchange Association's "Innae (people who put their noses together)." In May of that year, the first exhibition of Andy Warhol was held in Korea. Since then, he has held various individual and group exhibitions in the domestic as well as the global art market, and has also been active through various international art fairs and special exhibitions centered on Europe and the Middle East.
AB Gallery began expanding its business area by opening a new gallery in Baden-Baden, Germany in June 2011, and moved its headquarters to a French village in Seorae-ro, Seocho-gu, Seoul in 2015. In May 2021, AB Gallery moved to Gungpyeong Art Museum Archive in Hwaseong. AB Gallery is also working on introducing various foreign artists to Korea and plans to continue such activities in the future.
