"The artistic inspiration that runs through my work came from my favorite mountain as a young man. On a four-day night for the end of Jirisan Mountain, I soaked my hands and face in clear stream water.

Starting as a calligrapher, the expression technique built by an oriental painter based on a four-county ruler as a literary artist is now drawing attention from many people by incorporating it into an oil painting of a Western painting technique. " In other words, Kim Gon is a painter who mainly expresses the oriental perspective and spirit through Western painting techniques. Kim Gon spent most of his 40 years as a painter through his own training, holding 55 solo exhibitions, including exhibitions abroad such as the United States and China, and invitational exhibitions at the 2013 GS Caltex, LA Marriott Hotel and Parkview Gallery.
