About
I wonder whether I can empathize with the invisible emotions found in ordinary daily life and objects and show them differently. As I continue to look and discover an object or scene that I have seen, I begin to empathize with it. Although looking often begins with intention, the emotion becomes empathetic very naturally. Since emotions have no form, we use objects to embody them.
This submitted work,, was created in 2021-2022 and was inspired by the sight of colanders stacked up, so it started out as an object. This work is a two-dimensional work of dismantling the object. The dismantled images looked like our own, and at the time of producing the work, we were in a situation where we could not be together due to the coronavirus, and our sad feelings were reflected on the objects and came out in the work. What is different about from previous works is that the shape of the object is not visible at all and is composed only of surfaces and colors. Works with abstract images are also differentiated in that they are not completed as a single piece of work, but are greatly expanded by combining several works. , created using the work , is a motion graphic expression of the images expressed in the flat work moving freely, so viewing it together will help you understand the work.
