I began to appreciate the world of abstraction when I was in high school after passing through my middle school years preparing for the preliminary entrance exam. At first, I liked geometric figures, people, space, and nature, so I used black pens on any piece of paper, but soon after graduating from the College of Fine Arts, I used acrylic paint to pile them on the canvas. I draw pictures inspired by nature, animals and plants, space, geometric figures, and people. Rather than general precise descriptions, I try to express the invisible side in art by abstractly interpreting it. It is mainly projected using acrylic and oil pastels through natural objects that show admiration for nature, human feelings, and the mysteries of the universe. It is also sublimating into art to remind us of the importance of beautiful nature created by God.
As usual, one day while I was doing a lot of work in my art world, I suddenly thought that the platypus, which belongs to nowhere, resembles me a lot because I did not take a regular course as an artist. My paintings are immature, bold, and unspoiled, as if they were painted by children who love art because they did not take a regular course. Therefore, I am a writer who does not know where to stand out. In a way, it can be seen that my painting and my own charm are differentiated from other artists by trying everything you want without sticking to one style. From my childhood to the present, my main keywords were thoughts different from others, uniqueness, purity, passion, snark, and boldness. Based on these keywords, I am living in my own art world, which is like a children's concentric world.
I hope that those who see my work will be able to return to their childhood innocence at that moment without any obstacles, inspire their lives a little, and have hope. In a way, this exhibition is my first start as a platypus artist, and it is a time when my lack of and unadorned raw paintings are known to the world. I hope this precious time will be the driving force behind my love of art in the future.
