About
The artist creates a space between the planes, giving them a double sense of being a flat work and a three-dimensional work. A triple composition with a margin between the conceptional front and the abstract rear, and the front and rear planes are arranged slightly out of alignment to attempt an escape from the flatness. The three-dimensionality of the work composed of multi-layered planes solves the multifaceted story entangled in time travel conducted over time difference. Thus, time is piled up in layers, adding to the deep taste of life. In this composition, the artist's own perspective of staring at the entire picture is presented explicitly or implicitly to show artist intervention. Subjective intervention that does not remain as an objective object or bystander is considered an active attempt to find the identity of the self. Seo Jung-hee's world of work revives and re-examines the precious time lost through time travel, and allows us to unfold mysterious and new imaginations.
