About
When I start painting, I spend a lot of time thinking about what meaningful value to contain.
Above all, paintings should have pictorial beauty, as if they were jewels, re-create nature's absolute beauty with original techniques, or take note of meaningful social phenomena, events, or human sensibility that take place in people's daily lives and reconstruct them to inspire artistic vitality with aesthetic values and philosophical thoughts.

The dynamic movements of the moment when people or animals live and move fiercely for survival contain extremely beautiful aesthetic elements created by perfectly balanced tension. The picture is imprinted on the mind like a scene that is implicit and clearly remembered in the trajectory of life, like a life frozen at a moment's moment. The artist constantly searches for existential values and aesthetic elements in the absolute existence of nature and the myriad phenomena caused by incomplete human society, and eventually captures the object of artistic return, envisions and works on creation, and finally asks about artistic value and human identity. The artist will only be happy when the audience facing the painting keeps looking at it with visual wonder and becomes deeply fascinated, assimilating the artist's questions, thinking for themselves, and finally loving the scene.

In order to find and recreate meaningful values from numerous phenomena in the world, painters constantly question and agonize between visual sensibility and logical reason, such as vanishing points but forever parallel railways. By reinterpreting the existence and phenomena shown while considering the absolute beauty of nature and various lives of mankind from an aesthetic perspective, they apply existing styles or create new aesthetic forms on their own, and break away from them, and eventually strive to evolve into a profound and original painting.

"Nostalgia"
The cooking scenery commonly seen in the kitchen of a farmhouse in a rural village evokes nostalgia for home.
As a child, I was sitting in front of the kitchen furnace at sunset, huddling with my brothers, smelling the smell of cooking
They grill potatoes or sweet potatoes and wait for the delicious nurungji while staring at the burning light in the furnace
I enjoyed the time I looked at. With the warm energy of firewood, the flame that changes constantly
Looking at the mysterious Hwamu that I create endlessly, it's like my soul is melting into the fire
I still can't forget the dreamy feeling.

"Bull fighting"
Modern society constantly summons animals and humans to the stadium, encourages competition, and repeats coercion and conciliation to fight each other. The cow's struggling eyes, which are fighting on behalf of humans in the bullfight, contain a vague longing for victory and fear of the ruler. There is only the tension and endless confrontation of the hard reality that cannot move forward, retreat, or give up for survival. The fighting cows, who are dynamically confronting each other in a bullfight where the desire of the victor and the fate of the loser intersect under the control of the powerful, are the sad self-portraits of our foolish humanity, who cannot escape from competition forever and live a tragic life.

"Pandemic"
COVID-19 facing humanity in the 21st century is a self-destructive disaster caused by humanity's intemperate desire.
When mankind, which has evolved in pursuit of money, power, and pleasure, faces irreversible downfall with foolish greed, the blind faith in God is empty, the nations and religions that repeat terrorism and war, the fateful sacrifice of the strong and the weak, the merciless weak instinct, the summoned humans and animals, the power that eventually falls into the abyss. However, the dove, the messenger of God, can only watch and do nothing for him.
This painting was drawn with the motif of Noah's Ark and devoted to mental pain for about four years.
