About
Cho Chang-hee's work, which has been creative for a long time based on the Geoje area, expresses roofs, walls, and warehouses with light pastel-toned colors based on old houses that can be easily found even a little outside the busy streets of Geoje Island. In the works presented by Cho Chang-hee, who works on color abstraction, people living in the house do not appear at all, even though the house is mainly based on the subject. Such a quiet and static landscape catches the eyes of viewers and enlarges the whole or part of the house, leading them to go on a strange-feeling memory trip that summons the memories of the viewers.
Painter Cho Chang-hee explained, "Through the work of home, we will stimulate emotions with various feelings such as comfort, nostalgia, loneliness, loneliness, and depression," adding, "It may be our story born and raised in the countryside."
